things you didn't need to know
about me
...
1.
For
years I wanted to be a ballerina, then an opera singer – but
when it comes to the crunch I’m actually a bit Barbara Streisand:
stage fright is a killer.
2.
I
once worked as a Mystery Shopper – satisfying my needs to
covertly spy then come home and write it all up… My time as a
Recruitment Consultant also helped feed my appetite for info about
other people’s lives…
3.
I’m
a stationary sucker – pretty pens, funky folders, natty
notebooks – love it, love it, love it. Spend hours deciding
between this folder and the next… never happier than when
organising my desk (which happens once every few months when the
draft is DONE and the desk is a complete mess… so maybe I’m
happy because the draft is done?)
4.
I’m
a continuing education junkie – I love to study! (feel free to
call me a geek). I’ve done French, flamenco, Irish dancing, art
and creative writing courses, an English teaching qualification
and am partway through a law degree (when the writing and the kids
intervened).
5.
I’m
a left handed vegetarian, but I cut meat right handed for my kids.
